Half a Cup – How cute is this?!
Wednesday, December 9th, 2009I’m a day late on this post (for anyone keeping track, I post to “How cute is this?!” on Tuesdays). I was at a Raptors game last night so I didn’t get a chance to post. Plus I didn’t get a chance to find anything cute to post about!
But today I saw this. It’s related to baking, because it’s got a measuring cup in the picture. So I didn’t break my promise! (Plus my last post was about my baking anyway!)

New Pets – How cute is this?!
Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009So this blog is mostly about baking, but sometimes it’s not going to be. Because it’s mine and I’ll do what I want! So for this week’s How cute is this?! I want to show you some new pets that my in-laws got on Saturday!
First, my sister-in-law got a new kitten! He’s so super cute, and his name is Jake. Here’s his cute face:
That picture doesn’t really do him justice, since we only had an iPhone for pictures of him.. he’s even cuter than that. Here’s what he looks like when I eat him (and also what I look like when I wear glasses.. which isn’t something you get to see often):

Then Matt’s parents got a new dog, Zoey! She’s part German Shepperd and part Akita (they think..). She’s about 11 months old and is a giant (well at least to me.. I’ve had cats my whole life, and they are small compared to this). But she’s a cute giant!

Alright, I promise my next post will be about baking. My baking even! I made some mini cupcakes this week, and have quite a few different things I need to make cupcakes for in the coming week or so, so be prepared for this blog to start picking up! (Assuming I have time.. what with all the baking!)

Dino Cupcakes – How cute is this?!

They’re SUPER cute! And I happen to LOVE dinosaurs. Also, I realized as I was writing this that there was a pterodactyl in my dream last night.. creepy! (Or maybe my subconscious was trying to remind me that I DID have something cute to post about today!)

Pocket Pies – How cute is this?!
Tuesday, November 17th, 2009A couple of weeks ago I came across a post on The Kitchn showing a new product at Willams Sonoma – pocket pies!
They’re little molds – you use them to cut the dough, as well as to shape them to put in the filling, and to crimp the top and bottom together. It even cuts out the vent(s) for you!
I ran out and got the apple shaped one the next chance I got! Hopefully I’ll get some free time to be able to try it out soon!! I plan to make a bunch of them in all different kinds and then pop them in the freezer so we can have little pies ready to go whenever we feel like it! Of course, I’ll post about it as soon as I do!

Bride & Groom Cakes – How cute is this?!
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009Until about a year and a half ago, I’d never heard of a groom’s cake. I first heard of this when a friend was talking about forgetting to put theirs out at her wedding. Basically it’s a manly cake (as opposed to the traditional girlie wedding cake).
Since I’m getting married in a little more than 10 days (yeeee!!), I tend to look at a lot of wedding blogs. When I got home and was whizzing through the pileup in my Google Reader that resulted after an extremely busy day at work (no time to look at Google Reader when I’m swamped), I saw the cutest thing!
Isn’t that so cute?! I love it! But maybe that’s just me – I’m a huge fan of puns!
