M-Cups – How cute is this?!

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

Alright, so I didn’t post last week. I’m dumb and half forgot, and half didn’t feel like it… I’m the worst. BUT I’m posting this week, so we’re cool, right? Right.

So here’s what’s cute this week (and it was last week too.. but I forgot about it because I’m apparently very forgetful): M-Cups – measuring cups that are also matryoshka dolls (aka Russian nesting dolls). I loved them so much that I bought them from Urban Outfitters last weekend! Each half of each doll is a different measurement (1 cup, 3/4 cup, 2/3 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup and 1/4 cup). See the cuteness for yourself:

I just LOVE them!!

Apple Cupcake with Worm – How cute is this?!

I saw this on All Cupcakes All the Time (aka Only Cupcakes) a little while ago. It’s so awesome!

It was made by Treat NYC. It’s so perfect! I love it!

Icing Tip Place Cards – How cute is this?!

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Look at this cute idea for seating cards. So cute for a wedding, or any other dinner/party that you need to have place cards.

It’s such a simple idea that you can do yourself, and I think it looks really elegant (and cute! haha).

Bear Cupcakes – How cute is this?!

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

Look how super cute these kawaii bear cupcakes made by flickr user paperlilies are! And not only are they super cute on the outside, but they’re rainbow-y on the inside! I’ve done something similar to this in cake form, but my colours were nowhere near as bright as these.

These two are my favourites (especially the green one!!), but there are a ton more here.

Oh my goodness, it’s almost too much cuteness for me!!!

And in this shot (coincidentally of the green one again…) you can see the colours of the cake:

And a cross section for an even better look:

Cupcake Bird Tattoo – How cute is this?!

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Not much time for a post tonight – the season premiere for LOST is starting right now! (Thank goodness for PVRs.. and 1 hour recaps).

So here’s what’s cute this week – a tattoo of a bird with a cupcake on its head! If you didn’t guess it from naming the company “Little Bird Bakery”, I love birds (and happen to have a bird tattoo of my own!), and I think it goes without saying that I love cupcakes!

Soooo cute! I’m super jealous!!

Now stop reading this and go watch LOST already!!!!

Cupcake Ring Shot – How cute is this?!

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

I still subscribe to some wedding blogs (although not nearly as many as when I was planning our wedding!!) and I love ring shots! I unfortunately forgot to tell our wedding photographer this, so we don’t have any (YET! I plan to take a few for fun.. one day).

I saw this one today, and thought it was such a cute idea for a ring shot!

Of course I guess the bride & groom had a bit of a sticky situation on their hands after this (HA!), but totally worth it, and it’s nothing a little soap and water couldn’t fix!

Bunny Love Cake Toppers – How cute is this?!

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

Since I know about 327 people who got engaged in the past 6 months or so, I figured I should post these little guys up!

And now for my favourite part of them.. teensy little tails!!!

These were made by Sian Keegan, whose site you can see here and whose etsy shop you can see here. I can’t see these particular little guys on the etsy shop (but you can click the photos to link to them on Sian Keegan’s flickr), but it seems you can put in a custom order, so I’m sure you can request them, or something else if bunnies don’t fit into your wedding.

Via Brooklyn Bride, who points out that you may not want to put these little guys directly on your cake, but you could put them beside it. I think you could also pretty easily put them on some kind of base if you wanted to have them up on top of your cake!

Snowman Cupcakes – How cute is this?!

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Since it’s winter, I figured what better time to post about these snowman cupcakes that I’ve come across on Cupcakes Take The Cake.

First up, in the cupcake form made popular by Bakerella (my non-snowman, non-on-a-stick version of them can be viewed in the Gallery), snowman cupcake pops made by Angelina Cupcake!

And on regular cupcakes, made by JujyCakes:

Two different takes, both super cute!!

Gingerbread Mug Decorations – How cute is this?!

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

I’m back! A day late – turns out that taking time off can make you forget that Tuesday night is your regular scheduled blogging night! But things should be back on track from here on in.. I hope.

So, getting back to business, check these little guys out – they’re mini gingerbread houses that you put on the edge of your mug!

Instructions on how to make these are here.

I’d say that I wanted to try making these bad boys myself, but gingerbread and I don’t get along – every time I try to make it, something goes wrong. I’ve had to throw out the dough, I’ve burned it, I’ve dried it out, I’ve had it come out rock hard, I’ve under-baked it.. pretty well every outcome except having something edible. But maybe if you and gingerbread DO get along, you can try them out! And then invite me over for some hot chocolate.. with a gingerbread house on the rim.

Update

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

Alright so I created the “How cute is this?!” feature as a weekly thing so that I wouldn’t fall off the blogging bandwagon, as I have every other time I’ve tried to start a blog. I was a day late last week, and this week, while I actually have something I wanted to post for it, I just don’t have the time (.. even though I have the time to write this..). I’m soooo super busy at work (aka baking/blogging isn’t my full time job), so I’m going to take a quick break from this (unless I find some time..) so I don’t need to worry about trying to come up with something every week!

So, let’s say that this will be back in the new year, first week of January. Unless it’s back sooner!

Have a good Christmas, or whatever it is you happen to celebrate, as well as New Years!!!
